Keir Williams
Specialist dyslexia and dyscalculia assessor
About Keir Williams
Keir is a specialist dyslexia assessor registered with PATOSS (the professional association of teachers of students with specific learning difficulties). He has over 20 years of experience as a SENCo, Assistant Headteacher and Specialist Assessor, working in and advising primary, secondary and specialist schools across Kent. He also assesses children, students and adults both face-to-face and remotely for dyslexia and dyscalculia screening. Keir is a qualified SENCo and has an MA in Enabling Learning, Inclusion and Institutional Development.
Why Keir chose dyslexia assessment as a career?
Prior to gaining his Assessment Practicing Certificate, Keir was a SENCo and Assistant Headteacher in a non-selective secondary school in Kent.
Throughout his time working within education, Keir has developed a passion for supporting the most vulnerable students who present with complex difficulties and challenging needs, in the belief that, for these students in particular, the power of education can transform their lives.
He enjoys working with each unique person - supporting them throughout their journey towards receiving the right diagnosis and the best support to meet their needs, and ultimately helping them to develop. He finds that his knowledge of the educational system is invaluable to ensure that the recommendations he makes are both practical and realistic yet the most effective to help people overcome their own personal barriers to learning.
What Keir can offer:
Academic assessments for children between 6-8 years old.
Diagnostic dyslexia assessments for children, students and adults from 9 years upwards.
